Al-Hakeem in Teheran for "historical settlement", sources

Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: The current visit of the Chairman of the Higher Islamic Council and the
Shiite National Alliance Ammar al-Hakeem aimed at "discussing" with the Iranian officials the question of the "historical settlement" in Iraq.

Al-Hakeem adopted the new idea in Iraqi internal poltics that might "end the disputed among the Shiite National Alliance.

Local political sources reported that al-Hakeem is trying to get the Iranian support to keep the unity of the National Alliance, particularly after the strong disputes between the Premier Haidar al-Ibadi and ex- premier Nouri al-Maliki, as well as the differences with the leader of the Sadrist Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr.

Currently, al-Maliki is trying to mobilize the Iraqi public against the "historical settlement", regarding it as a "treason against the Iraqi people".

Maliki's political circles are still announcing that this settlement will allow "the terrorists to return to the government".
