First Indian plane arrives in Iraq within 30 years

Najaf/ Iraq TradeLink: The Indian Airlines resumed its trips to Iraq for the first time in 30 years.

The plane landed in Najaf airport, coming from Lucknow cit, Uttar Paradesh, where great number of Shiite sect lives there.

Following Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990s, Indian stopped direct flights to Iraq.

Najaf airport sources reported that the trips will be twice weekly to New Delhi Airport.
