Israel fears Iranian-Iraqi-Syrian railway connections

Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Israeli newspaper expressed fears erupting in the state from the tripartite move among Iran, Iraq and Syria for jointly be connected with a railway network.

Maariv daily pointed that the Israeli army is very concerned of this projects, fearing the transportation of arms to Syria and Lebanese Hezbollah Party.

The paper quoted Syrian opposition sources that this connection will lead the railway to expand to China.

Other reports added that China is interested in this project to make its “silky way” that will connect countries like Syria, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and China.
