Rosnet ready to excavate in Kurdistan

Moscow/ Iraq TradeLink: Russian Tass news agency reported that Rosneft oil company is planning to
start excavations in the Kurdish region this year.

There are differences between the Kurdish region and Baghdad on exporting oil production.

Baghdad insisted that the Kurdish oil production should be done through its oil establishments, while Arbil claims that the Iraqi Constitution authorized it to sell its oil production.

Earlier, Premier Adel Abdul Mehdi stated that the Kurdish region is obliged to hand over 250.000 barrels of oil daily to the federal government, otherwise Baghdad will deduct the Kurdish  revenues of oil exports from the budget.
