Turkish ambassador stirred Iraqi eggs market

Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: The Iraqi government expressed its dissatisfaction for the visit made by the
Turkish ambassador, Fahih Yeldiz, to eggs’ selling centers.

Yeldiz was trying to to make Iraqi traders to buy this commodity from his country.
Turkey was affected by the Iraqi decision not to import Turkish eggs within its policy to support local production.

Iraqi agriculture ministry commented that this visit will not affect its decision to ban eggs’ imports.

During the past few months, ambassador Yeldiz tried to convince the Iraqi authorities to exempt Turkey from its eggs’ imports.

Turkish reports said that the eggs’ market was affected by the Iraqi ban, particularly when Saudi Arabia issued similar decision on eggs imports.
